Trudy Radburn
Owner & Yoga teacher

Before opening The Moving Room, Trudy had a career in dance. For over 20 years she performed nationally and internationally, as well as choreographing both here and in the UK. She studied in London, has a Masters in Dance – Choreography and most recently taught contemporary technique at Deakin University. She continues to be a freelance movement director and can still be found dancing sometimes when she's not standing on a mat.

Trudy’s passion for yoga has always complemented her love of movement. Her first yoga class was in 1991 and since then she has practiced around the world with many wonderful and inspiring teachers. She spent many years immersed within the Iyengar style before discovering Ashtanga and finally Vinyasa.

Inspired to share her love of yoga and more specifically Vinyasa, Trudy began teaching her 'Moving Flow' Vinyasa-inspired class in 2010.

She is a 500 hour senior teacher, with over 10 years of teaching, has an Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching from the Australian Yoga Academy, a Diploma of Vinyasa Teaching and is a member of Yoga Australia. Most recently in 2019 Trudy completed further training with Mark Whitwell from ‘Heart of Yoga’.

YOGA helps us to live in our bodies, feel good in our bodies & ultimately be good to our bodies  ~  Trudy

Trudy Radburn at The Moving Room is the ultimate yoga practice, inspiring, and enjoyable. Now in my second year, I am highly motivated by her sensitive and encouraging approach to the practice. Always interesting, always enjoyable and always a personal challenge. Trudy's knowledge of the body is immense, her guidance especially when past injuries impact on movement, means she teaches with restorative individual attention. Always able to modify the practice to suit the individual she is truly amazing. I highly recommend The Moving Room for anyone interested in physical and emotional wellbeing.
